Christ is Risen!
Christ showed the way, and He showed the place when He said: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” Let us enter on this Way, let us hold to the Truth, let us follow the Life. He is the way that leads, the truth that strengthens, the life that is restored through Himself. And so that we may know His true will, Christ added: “Father, I will that where I am, they also whom You have given Me may be with Me, that they may behold My glory.”…We follow You, Lord Jesus, but summon us to follow You because without You no one may ascend to You. For You are “the Way, Truth, Life,” the power, faith, reward. As the Way, receive us Your own. As the Truth, strengthen us. As the Life, give us life. Reveal that goodness of Yours that David desired to see when he said, “Who will show us the good things?” and again, “I shall see the good things of the Lord in the land of the living.” For the good things are there [in heaven], where there is everlasting life, life without sin….Let us, therefore, hasten to Life. Whoever touches Life, lives. And indeed the woman touched Life, who touched the hem of His cloak and was released from death. And to her it was said, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.” For if a person who touches a dead man is unclean, then surely one who touches the Living Man is saved. Therefore let us seek and touch the Living Man…Let us seek Him and embrace His feet and worship Him so that He may say to us also, “Do not be afraid,” that is, “Do not be afraid about the sins of the age, do not be afraid about the iniquities of the world, do not be afraid about the surges of the bodily passions; I am the forgiveness of sins. Do not be afraid of the darkness; I am the Light. Do not be afraid of death; I am Life. Whoever comes to Me will not see death forever.” – St. Ambrose
