Christ told Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side.”  Christ also speaks to us today saying: “My wounds have also another meaning. From the time of My Ascension, you too can touch My pierced hands and My open side, but only if you bend down in compassion over the wounds of others. In times of doubt, look and help someone in pain. Place your hand into the wounds. For I am the One you will touch. My living presence will become certain for you in this contact with the suffering members of My body.” – A Monk of the Eastern Church
